Touch the Top of the World: Erik Weihenmayer Interview

Erik Weihenmayer is the subject of the A&E Classroom movie "Touch the Top of the World," which is based on his memoir of the same name. The film follows Erik's story as he becomes the first blind man to climb Mount Everest. He’s scaled the highest mountains on the seven continents, is an inspirational speaker, an author, and a former teacher. He spoke with Cable in the Classroom Magazine's Al Race about how teachers can use his story with students.

Listen to the interview here.

Touch the Top of the World airs (two parts) on October 2 and 3 at 7 am (Eastern) on A&E Classroom. See also http://www.aetv.com/touchthetop/.
